To ensure autorun and distribution:
Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'RegTips' = '%WINDIR%\photo.exe'
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'RegTips' = '%WINDIR%\SysTem.exe'
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'RegTips' = '<Full path to virus>'
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\photo.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\AutoRun.inf
Malicious functions:
To complicate detection of its presence in the operating system,
blocks execution of the following system utilities:
- Windows Task Manager (Taskmgr)
Creates and executes the following:
- %WINDIR%\photo.exe
- %WINDIR%\SysTem.exe
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- C:\AutoRun.inf
- C:\photo.exe
- %WINDIR%\SysTem.exe
- %WINDIR%\photo.exe
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\photo.exe
- %WINDIR%\SysTem.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\AutoRun.inf
- C:\AutoRun.inf
- C:\photo.exe
