Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices] 'winnt DNS ident' = 'wuamgrd32.exe'
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'winnt DNS ident' = 'wuamgrd32.exe'
Malicious functions:
Creates and executes the following:
- <SYSTEM32>\wuamgrd32.exe 300 "<Full path to virus>"
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- <SYSTEM32>\wuamgrd32.exe
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <SYSTEM32>\wuamgrd32.exe
Deletes itself.
Network activity:
Connects to:
- 'ir#.#erver.net':6667
UDP:
- DNS ASK ir#.#erver.net
- '<Private IP address>':1035
Miscellaneous:
Searches for the following windows:
- ClassName: 'mIRC' WindowName: ''
