Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'CExplorer' = '%WINDIR%\cExplorer.exe'
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- <Drive name for removable media>:\cExplorer.exe
Malicious functions:
Creates and executes the following:
- %WINDIR%\cExplorer.exe
Executes the following:
- <SYSTEM32>\reg.exe add HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run /v CExplorer /t REG_SZ /D %WINDIR%\cExplorer.exe /F
- %WINDIR%\explorer.exe <Current directory>
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- C:\cExplorer.exe
- C:\autorun.inf
- %WINDIR%\cExplorer.exe
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- <Drive name for removable media>:\cExplorer.exe
- C:\cExplorer.exe
- %WINDIR%\cExplorer.exe
- C:\autorun.inf
