To ensure autorun and distribution:
Changes the following executable system files:
- <SYSTEM32>\dllhost.exe
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Umbrella.flv.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
Malicious functions:
To bypass firewall, removes or modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\StandardProfile\AuthorizedApplications\List] '<Full path to file>' = '<Full path to file>:*:Enabled:<File name>.exe'
Executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\netsh.exe' firewall add allowedprogram "<Full path to file>" "<File name>.exe" ENABLE
Modifies file system:
Creates the following files:
- %APPDATA%\app
- C:\Umbrella.flv.exe
- C:\autorun.inf
- %TEMP%\StUpdate.exe
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <Full path to file>
- C:\autorun.inf
- C:\Umbrella.flv.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Umbrella.flv.exe
Network activity:
Connects to:
- 'it###.ddns.net':6785
UDP:
- DNS ASK it###.ddns.net
Miscellaneous:
Executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\netsh.exe' firewall delete allowedprogram "<Full path to file>"
- '<SYSTEM32>\schtasks.exe' /create /sc minute /mo 1 /tn StUpdate /tr %HOMEPATH%\Local Settings\Temp/StUpdate.exe
