- [<HKCU>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'Windows Alerter' = 'C:\Program Files\Windows Alerter\WinAlert.exe'
- [<HKCU>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'WindowMessenger' = 'C:\RECYCLER\X-1-5-21-1960408961-725345543-839522115-1003\WinSysApp.exe'
Malicious functions:
To complicate detection of its presence in the operating system,
forces the system hide from view:
- hidden files
- file extensions
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- C:\RECYCLER\X-1-5-21-1960408961-725345543-839522115-1003\WinSysApp.exe
- C:\RECYCLER\X-1-5-21-1960408961-725345543-839522115-1003\bnf0342
- C:\Program Files\Windows Common Files\Commgr.exe
- C:\Program Files\Windows Alerter\WinAlert.exe
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- C:\RECYCLER\X-1-5-21-1960408961-725345543-839522115-1003\WinSysApp.exe
- C:\Program Files\Windows Alerter\WinAlert.exe
- C:\Program Files\Windows Common Files\Commgr.exe
