To ensure autorun and distribution:
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\<Virus name>.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
Malicious functions:
To complicate detection of its presence in the operating system,
forces the system hide from view:
- hidden files
blocks execution of the following system utilities:
- Windows Task Manager (Taskmgr)
- Registry Editor (RegEdit)
Executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\reg.exe' Add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer /v NOFolderOptions /t REG_DWORD /d "1" /f
- '<SYSTEM32>\reg.exe' Add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer /v NoControlPanel /t REG_DWORD /d "1" /f
- '<SYSTEM32>\reg.exe' Add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run /v MicrosoftSecurity /t REG_DWORD /d <Virus name>.exe /f
- '<SYSTEM32>\sc.exe' start messenger
- '<SYSTEM32>\sc.exe' config messenger start= demand

Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:

Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
