To ensure autorun and distribution:
Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKCU>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'spmgXQaedKuVFGJekdJLcWXoMRbWrVJ' = '%APPDATA%'
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- <Drive name for removable media>:\spmgXQaedKuVFGJekdJLcWXoMRbWrVJ.scr
Malicious functions:
To complicate detection of its presence in the operating system,
forces the system hide from view:
- hidden files
blocks execution of the following system utilities:
- Command Prompt (CMD)
- Windows Task Manager (Taskmgr)
blocks the following features:
- System Restore (SR)
Creates and executes the following:
- '%APPDATA%\spmgXQaedKuVFGJekdJLcWXoMRbWrVJ.exe' <Full path to virus>
Executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\reg.exe' add HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System /v DisableCMD /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f
- '<SYSTEM32>\reg.exe' add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer /v NoRun /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f
Modifies settings of Windows Explorer:
- [<HKCU>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer] 'NoRun' = '00000001'
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- %TEMP%\dw.log
- %TEMP%\2C644.dmp
- %APPDATA%\spmgXQaedKuVFGJekdJLcWXoMRbWrVJ.exe
- C:\spmgXQaedKuVFGJekdJLcWXoMRbWrVJ.scr
- C:\autorun.inf
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\spmgXQaedKuVFGJekdJLcWXoMRbWrVJ.scr
- %APPDATA%\spmgXQaedKuVFGJekdJLcWXoMRbWrVJ.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- C:\autorun.inf
- C:\spmgXQaedKuVFGJekdJLcWXoMRbWrVJ.scr
Deletes itself.

Searches for the following windows:
- ClassName: 'Shell_TrayWnd' WindowName: '(null)'
- ClassName: 'Indicator' WindowName: '(null)'
