- [<HKCU>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'mared.vbs' = '<SYSTEM32>\wscript.exe /b "%TEMP%\mared.vbs"'
Creates or modifies the following files:
- %HOMEPATH%\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\mared.vbs
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\! Videos.lnk
- <Drive name for removable media>:\mared.vbs
Malicious functions:
Executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\wscript.exe' "%TEMP%\Clean.vbs"
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- %TEMP%\Clean.vbs
- %TEMP%\mared.vbs
- %TEMP%\aut2.tmp
- %TEMP%\aut1.tmp
- %TEMP%\dmkrhfm
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\mared.vbs
Deletes the following files:
- %TEMP%\aut2.tmp
- %TEMP%\dmkrhfm
- %TEMP%\aut1.tmp
Network activity:
Connects to:
- 'localhost':1037
UDP:
- DNS ASK ma.#####counterstrike.com
