Malicious functions:
To bypass firewall, removes or modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\StandardProfile\AuthorizedApplications\List] '%TEMP%\rundll.exe' = '%TEMP%\rundll.exe:*:Enabled:rundll.exe'
Creates and executes the following:
- '%TEMP%\rundll.exe'
- '%HOMEPATH%\Local Settings\Tempserver.exe'
Executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\netsh.exe' firewall add allowedprogram "%TEMP%\rundll.exe" "rundll.exe" ENABLE
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- %TEMP%\rundll.exe
- %HOMEPATH%\Local Settings\Tempserver.exe
Network activity:
Connects to:
- 'fi####7.no-ip.org':1177
UDP:
- DNS ASK fi####7.no-ip.org
