- [<HKCU>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'Microsoft Windows Hosting Service' = '"%TEMP%\csrssa.exe"'
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] 'Taskman' = '"%TEMP%\csrssa.exe"'
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- <Drive name for removable media>:\driver\info\csrssa.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\driver\info\Desktop.ini
Malicious functions:
Executes the following:
- <SYSTEM32>\cmd.exe /c """%TEMP%\remove.bat"" "
Modifies settings of Windows Internet Explorer:
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\Associations] 'LowRiskFileTypes' = '.exe'
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- %TEMP%\remove.bat
- %TEMP%\csrssa.exe
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\driver\info\csrssa.exe
- %TEMP%\csrssa.exe
Deletes itself.
Network activity:
