Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\ArchNuevos.lnk
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Willson.exe
Malicious functions:
To complicate detection of its presence in the operating system,
blocks execution of the following system utilities:
- Windows Task Manager (Taskmgr)
- Registry Editor (RegEdit)
blocks the following features:
- User Account Control (UAC)
- Windows Security Center
Terminates or attempts to terminate
the following user processes:
- GUARD.EXE
- MCAGENT.EXE
- ekrn.exe
- fsav32.exe
- outpost.exe
- zapro.exe
- mpftray.exe
- NAVAPW32.EXE
- ecmd.exe
- AVP.EXE
- AVPCC.EXE
- AVGCC32.EXE
- AVGCTRL.EXE
- bdagent.exe
- ccapp.exe
- AVPM.EXE
- AVSYNMGR.EXE
Modifies settings of Windows Explorer:
- [<HKCU>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer] 'NoFolderOptions' = '00000001'
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- %WINDIR%\svchost.exe
- <SYSTEM32>\Willson\Willson.exe
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Willson.exe
- %WINDIR%\svchost.exe
- <SYSTEM32>\Willson\Willson.exe
